Adopting a cat from Grovehill means giving a rescued animal the home they deserve — and gaining a companion who will pay you back in spades. Whether you're looking for a bold adventurer or a quiet lap cat, we'll help you find the right match.

Our process is straightforward, friendly, and designed entirely around long-term success for you and your cat.

The Process

Five simple steps to adoption

1

Complete an application form

A short online form to tell us about your home and lifestyle. The more we know, the better we can match you.

Apply Online
2

Consultation

We'll discuss your application and suggest cats who might suit you.

3

Landlord approval (if applicable)

If you rent, we'll need written confirmation from your landlord that cats are permitted. Please check your tenancy agreement before applying and include accurate landlord details on your form.

4

Meet your cat

Come and spend time with your potential new companion. When both you and the cat are happy, we move forward.

5

Rehoming agreement

Sign the agreement and take your new cat home.

Rehoming Donation

Providing full veterinary care — vaccinations, flea treatment, worming, neutering or spaying, and microchipping — costs in excess of £100 per cat. We ask for a minimum donation of £45 when rehoming a cat. This helps us continue caring for the animals still in our shelter.
